March – July 2013
6 noise adventures
1 sprawling show
The Nomadic Noise Residency will bring together a core group of 25 collaborators – artists, producers, designers, makers, and urban innovators – for a 5 month nomadic residency in Toronto, on the theme of urban noise in urban spaces.
Residency participants will undergo individual and group-led research, through facilitated urban sound adventures, overnight, outdoor excursions, hands-on-workshops, noise experiments, and work-in-progress critiques.
The residency will culminate in a public exhibition in late July, where participants will have the opportunity to exhibit their final projects. Final projects will take a number of forms: site-specific installations, performances, sound-based works, web-projects, interventions, research papers, essays, and so on.
Interested in joining? We’re now accepting applications. For more information and details on how to apply, visit our “call for collaborators” page. Deadline to apply: March 4, 2013.
Deadline is now closed. Thank you to all applicants. Residency participants will be announed on March 12th.
