Why do I want to participate?

Because I like the idea of being prompted by forces outside my own mind.

I was so tired this week. Driving too far each day and suffering in head neck and back tension even with the yoga.

Recording birds and bees for a sound installation due this week (thank you COCA Heaven and Earth Five)

Then I realized I was running out of tiem for the last noise project, how could I miss the very last one?

This has been a wonderful journey and my life will miss the weekly challenges!

Thank you for all the fun.xo

The husband recorded his walk into work in the city and I played with it.

This was out of my own avoidance of city sounds.

this week i went about my business recording loads of bits and pieces.

My everyday hopefully without too much protest involves a walk in the woods.

This walk is for sanity and keeping that tie to nature strong.

my everyday involves  homeschooling my daughter, or unschooling to be more precise and more vague at the same time.

the birds wake me early in the spring , before the sun rises.

the bees add a pleasant hum that is missed in the winter.

my dog sniffs and then eats dirt.

my daughter talks of people eating people.

a bird sings to us or so it feels on our morning walk down an alley.

and insanity finds us in the end and it is joyous.

NUMBER SEVEN -CUES ; for when to RUNFeatured&Noise Challenge #7: The Cues

If this flash player is not loading for you please click the link below to play your audio file.

I recorded loads of cues- the sound of alarms, timers, people calling my name but it was driving me mental.

so i wanted to run away from the whole thing…

and then it turned into something more.

Rather then look at the mundane cues that cause me to react  or just act I decided to explore  something new that might initiate a new response.

I am a professional walker and never much a runner- but were I gonna?

what would a motivator be?

being chased would initiate a running response.

as would someone trying to eat me, or drill me.

A cue to take a quick run away from wherever the chewing and/or drilling is coming from.

Run , Run , Run.

here it is number 7.

The Eavesdropper.

a blend of psycho babble combined with ambient sounds of the week.

I listened to quite a bit of a meeting and took the amusing bits and made it into more of a psychedelic meeting.

The interesting bits were few and far between.

more short phrases said in a way that tickled me.

nothing that would make you wish to be a fly on the wall here, no sir.

the meeting you have after the night before that isn’t quite what you intended it to be.

maybe you drank too much, maybe other things were involved.

the walls are pretty close to melting and now you are sweating.

why are they all laughing?

is it me?

Noise challenge four many days of listening one day of configuring- here we go . it sounds like i may be mental at this point.

inspiration Rolling stones Sympathy for the Devil

woo woo

got my daughter’s shaker out and sang in different areas of my house, then warped it to all bloody hell as I couldn’t stand listening to my own voice.

doing this after too many days listening to the song made me sweat.

It felt like a buildup that needed to explode.

a zit, a volcano, an insect larvae beneath the skin waiting to burst forth and make you feel never again the same about tropical places.

woo woo

sympathy

woo woo

ok this song is now really apart of life that needs a break at this point.

we listened to this for nearly the whole week in the car and one day solidly.

i will let this track sleep for a bit and branch out in music once again.

wooo wooo.
