Why do I want to participate?
I see Noise Intercepted as a playful examination of the relations between sound and urbanity. I wish to approach the challenges artistically and theoretically, and learn more about the interactions of urban space and sound.
This sound emerged when I was doing the dishes one day. A glass bottle is trying to find its balance on a wet porcelain surface.
Two recordings from the subway in Tøyen, Oslo, convolved with a sample of a heartbeat from freesound.org. The result is a pulse with the rhythmic properties of the heartbeat sample, but with the sonic content of the subway recordings.
